I have had Baby-Gs in the past and know what they are like. This is a bigger watch, but it is almost indestructable. I really like the face on this one. It is very classy compared to the digital ones.

Customer Review: It is not the greatest G-Shock!
Never seen the actual product from any store. Saw it on the web felt that looked attractive. After received it, feel that is just a normal watch, feel like a toy watch. Black face plate looks different than other black plate G-Shock. Thought the illumination lighted up the whole watch. No, only the digits. I had one G-Shock with black face plate and it lights up the entire face plate when illuminated. Local time, other city time, timer, stop watch, alarms are just regular functions offered by all G-Shock. Nothing to be excited. No phone # storage. Text on face plate is too small. Difficult to read. The "PM" indicator is very small. I use the 24 hours format instead. "DST" also shows on the watch but too small to know it exists. Find out the watch needs to be under the sun or bright light daily in order to charge the builtin battery. The watch is light and smaller than it looks on the website. This is not the G-Shock that I expect. If you want a G-Shock, more new models to be selected from Casio. This G-Shock doesn't worth $120. I keep it just as a watch.
Customer Review: Does not work in Vancouver, BC!!!
I bought this watch because I like the idea of having it always accurate.
The only trouble is that it does not get the signal in the area where I reside, Vancouver, BC. I had another Casio that used to work fine and get a good signal in Vancouver, BC, but for some reason it totally stopped working. So I bought this one and immediately adjusted the belt to fit my wrist. Unfortunately, I need to return it but they would not take it back since the watch was resized and used. The Online store suggested me to contact Casio, which in turn suggested me to contact the store where I purchased the watch. I am still trying to find a solution.

Customer Review: Great Watch - Tough and Accurate
I have the MTG 920 DA model (black)and use it for street and aviation police duty…I own (2) Swiss Army, (1) Luminox, (1) Tag, (1) Rolex…Casio makes the best watch for the money hands down. I also purchased one for my son who is on his way to combat in the Middle East with the Marine Corps. The atomic time-keeping is spot-on and the watch is very tough…it can take it! I suggest purchasing from Amazon…they stand behind their sales and you know your purchase and shipping will be handled properly. I simply don't know how Casio sells these G-shocks for so little money…try one, I think you will be most pleased.

While technically my review for this watch might be misplaced, as I have purchased (in store) the PURPLE colored version, I find my satisfaction with the watch sufficient to overcome the color-barrier and location of purchase. The functions, esp. the snooze alarm (a total of 3 alarms, only one snooze) and the ability to have a select city's time available at a click (with 48 cities available in 29 time zones) can make it so much easier on a trip, rather than worrying about changing your watch for a different zone. I have long shunned getting a digital watch (for more than 30 years) but this one, esp. as it was PURPLE was just too great to pass on.

I PURCHASED THIS CASIO SOLAR WATCH 14 MONTHS AGO. ALL THE BLOGS YOU READ ABOUT SOME OF THE CASIO SOLAR WATCHES HAVING BATTERY ISSUES ARE TRUE. THE SYMPTOMS START WITH HITTING EITHER THE LUMINISCENT BUTTON OR THE MODE BUTTON AND THE WATCH WILL GO INTO A RECOVERY MODE. AFTER IT GOES INTO A RECOVERY MODE THE LIGHT FUNCTION AND ANY FUNCTION THAT REQUIRES A BEEP (LIKE THE ALARM OR SIGNAL FUNCTIONS WILL NOT WORK) UNTIL THE RECOVERY MODE STOPS. THE MANUAL SAYS THAT RECOVERY MODE SIGNIFIES THAT THE BATTERY NEEDS CHARGING EVEN THOUGH THE BATTERY INDICATOR SHOWS A FULL CHARGE ON THE BATTERY. I HAVE CHARGE THIS WATCH IN SUNLIGHT FOR DAYS AND THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST. NEXT I REPLACED THE BATTERY WITH HOPES THAT MY WATCH HAD A DEFECTIVE BATTERY WHEN PURCHASED, UNFORTUNATELY THE NEW BATTERY DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. I SHOULD HAVE PAID MORE ATTENTION TO THE BLOGS ON THE NET THAT OWNERS OF CASIO SOLAR WATCHES HAVE COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR YEARS WITH NO TECHNICAL SOLUTION FROM CASIO. I HAVE OWNED G-FORCE WATCHES FOR 20 YEARS AND NEVER HAD A PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY ONLY CASIO'S. Customer Review: Cool Idea but not for people with poor eyesight
I bought this watch because I always seem to need batteries in my other ones. I love the idea of a solar powered watch and I have been getting the time from the Atomic clock on my PC for years now….so the two together…Great idea!
I also wanted something looked good and is tough! Casio has all this and more….My only real complaint is that I just couldn't see the numerals…they are a very anemic white against a black background and they are so small I had to get out my reading glasses to see the time….they have another model which I should have gotten instead, that has black numerals against a white background but it doesn't look as good as this one

great looking watch online but when you get it it is hard to see the time, i thought it was the battery but the battery is fine it is hard to see the numbers because the digital part is metallic. so i dont recommend it it is to hard to see the numbers.
